Production Day #3: Wednesday, March 31st

Today we brainstormed a storyboard and some production ideas for our "green" Champlain Youtube video. Our video will feature a group of students/faculty at Champlain meeting for lunch and discussing the ways the college and Sustain Champlain are working to make Champlain "greener". We created a loose storyboard explaining our 6 methods of making Champlain "green" through the dialogue of the characters, supplemented by quick video clips that reinforce the facts presented throughout the lunchtime conversation. We also looked into using original music from a current Champlain student to have playing (quietly) in the background during breaks in the conversation. We hope to begin filming during our next class period.

Production Day #2, Monday, March 29

Team as follows: John, Jessie, James, and (J)Denise all attended this meeting at 2:00 in our class room.

Roles: John = Editor, Jessie = Director, James = Producer, (J)Denise = Back-Up/Support Crew, otherwise known as "girl friday", Dr. Rob = Executive Producer

For our Sustain Champlain video project, we have created a story about a group of students/faculty at Champlain meeting in the dining hall and discussing the various ways Champlain is making an effort to become more eco-friendly. The video will address certain efforts including: the Jazzman's coffee mug incentive, additional bike racks, low-flow showerheads, carpooling, motion-sensor lighting, and having a tray-less dining hall. The video will show the eco-benefits of having a cafeteria without trays and how they help to make Champlain a “greener” college. We are also considering using a small part from the movie, Animal House, with John Bellucci, where he is in the cafeteria and possibly the music, as well. We will keep Dr. Rob informed of our progress.

Today, we spent our time "shooting" out ideas and talking about what we all would like to see as our end product.  We are looking forward to Wednesday's class; we want to hear feedback from Christina as well as our other class mates.  That's all for now!  Audeamus to Maintain and Sustain Champlain
